Dismembering The Past

Matti McAllister, private investigator, is hired to find a missing elderly woman in the sleepy little town of Mesquite Cove. During the annual Texas Teacup Sailboat Festival, the Texas Butcher decides to come calling, murdering and dismembering his victims. Matti's investigation of missing Mabel overlaps the FBI's investigation of the murders, then suddenly, the Butcher targets Matti. Helen brings the bone chilling conclusion to point, with a disturbing ending that left me hoping she will write another thriller. 4 Stars
