Review of "An Untimely Frost"
Pierce and Rose Wainwright, raised Lilly Long since her mother, Kate was murdered when she was eleven. Lilly married Timothy Warner and at the tender age of twenty-one, he robbed and left her. Lilly, an actress, decided to join the Pinkerton's so she could help other women who were afflicted by the despicable acts of men. Her first assignment was to locate Harold Purcell, the owner of Heaven's Gate. The Pinkerton's client wanted to buy the property which had been vacant for twenty years. What Lilly found during her investigation not only fulfilled her obligation to the agency, but to society by rendering justice for crimes committed by the Purcells. This well written period piece of 1881 displays the talents of an accomplished author. 5 Stars
